QR Code Honeytokens
QR Code Honeytokens are decoy QR codes that can be placed in strategic locations to detect unauthorized scanning. They look like regular QR codes but are monitored by Trapster.
When someone scans a honeytoken QR code, Trapster immediately logs the event and sends an alert to your Trapster Dashboard, allowing you to monitor suspicious activity in real-time.
How It Works
QR Code Honeytokens appear as normal, scannable codes.
When scanned, Trapster logs the event, including:
- The time of the scan
- The location or context where the code was placed
- Any associated notes you added during creation
You can configure how the QR code behaves after scanning:
- Blank Image: The scan opens a blank image, keeping the user unaware.
- Redirect: The scan sends the user to a custom URL of your choice.
