Placement examples
Download the PNG and deploy strategically:
- Print it on a poster or badge : especially effective if placed somewhere that should not normally be accessed, like inside a locked office, restricted hallway, or low-profile area
- Add it to a presentation slide kept in an internal share or a section of the deck not meant for general viewing : if the QR code is scanned, it suggests someone has unauthorized access or is snooping beyond their remit
- Place it in event materials, handouts, or signage left in areas not intended for public access, such as staff-only rooms or maintenance closets
By putting QR honeytokens in less-accessible locations or "hidden in plain sight" (for example, in backup slides or restricted handouts), any scan is a high-confidence signal that someone is exploring where they should not. Trapster generates an incident so you can investigate immediately.
